ELMHURST SCHOOL FOR DANCE
Ruby Greenwood aged 8 has successfully auditioned for the Elmhurst Pre-Vocational Classical Ballet Course, she will begin her course of weekly classes in January 2008.

Four pupils of the School were selected by the Adjudicator to perform in the
Festival Bursary at the end of Prize Giving:

Sophie Bond 8, Ashleigh Frost 10, Gina Pollitt 12 and Lucie Tipping 13

Ashleigh Frost was awarded Runner-up and was presented with a Trophy and
Cheque for £100.00

NEW ENGLISH CONTEMPORARY BALLET COMPANY
18 pupils successfully auditioned and were cast in NECB production of
The Nutcracker to be performed in Nottingham and Newark during November and December.

Congratulations to Ashleigh Frost who has successfully auditioned for
the companys' 2007 season which will include a week of performances in
Kent and a Gala performance at Sadlers Wells Theatre, London

at
SHEPSHED FESTIVAL for the first time this year and came away with 1ST PLACE with 90 MARKS! There were 9 Troupes in the section - Well Done everyone!

EXAMINATIONS DECEMBER 2006
Pupils of the School enjoyed a very successful examination session at the end of the Autumn Term with 100% success 23 pupils gaining 80 marks+ and 50 pupils with 85 marks+ and congratulations to the 11 pupils who achieved 90 marks+!

Pupils in the Festival Team had a good festival. Trophies were awarded as below:-
